NIKI Service GmbH, headquartered in Berlin, is a 100% subsidiary of NIKI Luftfahrt GmbH and is responsible for the commercial activities of ​​the NIKI airline for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. NIKI has taken over the touristic routes from Germany and Switzerland and offers its guests, as one of the leading touristic airlines in Europe, flights to various holiday destinations in Europe and North Africa.

We are looking for a dedicated Head of E-Commerce (male/female) who is eager to drive forward a newly created function for the Touristic Business at the earliest convenience at our Berlin site.

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will be responsible to develop a new E-Commerce function, including all platforms, new capabilities, E-Commerce sales channels and strategies for the touristic business, whilst closely collaborating with the other Commercial departments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop the E-Commerce strategy for the touristic business
  • Lead strategic decisions to enhance the E-Commerce sales platform (supporting omni-channel commercial operations)
  • Define, develop and implement an overall online pricing strategy to achieve online sales targets
  • Closely collaborate with critical internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that online campaigns and channel activity initiatives are well identified, executed and do comply with applicable legal requirements
  • Support the guest experience team with distribution and portals for customer interaction
  • Regularly review the pricing strategy and activities of competitors to ensure appropriate value proposition
  • Define a strategy to establish and maintain strategic Commercial OTA relationships and use those relationships to specify activities to enhance distribution costs and efficiencies, and to grow OTA revenues and market share
  • Manage smooth implementation and commercialization of all new online features and products in the respective markets
  • Direct creation and maintenance of a new mobile application for iOS and Android
  • Establish trusted relationships with affiliated internal Commercial Operations departments in order to develop and implement activities that will improve and increase online conversions
  • Identify, recruit and manage content experts (web and content developers, digital marketing)
  • Lead a team and manage relationships with external E-Commerce specialists

 

Requirements:

  • University degree preferably in business studies, economics and/or education in the tourism, airline or travel agency industry
  • 8+ years of experience in the Travel / Airline Industry in a marketing/sales and E-commerce capacity
  • Customer Service and Relationship Management experience is required
  • Knowledge in the touristic business is prerequisite
  • Airline/GDS experience
  • Extensive understanding and overview of the complex airline process landscape
  • Great leadership skills and comfortable to raise issues and concerns
  • English/German, fluent in spoken and written
